If I moved into another rental right now, roughly equal to what I currently have, I’d end up paying roughly 50% more than I am right now. Maybe double if it were the same sqft but newer/nicer.
Problem is, I need something twice as large and am completely unwilling to pay what they currently go for.
If you think I’m giving you 3 grand a month to live in a ramshackle knock-down piece of shit that hasn’t seen an update since it was built in the 50's, you’re wrong. If you think I’m going to give you 2500 a month to live on the top floor of a raised ranch with 1-2 units below me, you’re nuts, and I don’t care about your countertops and new carpeting at that point.

all good here.... just discovered morphine n beer is a fun mix (also... morphine is a helluva painkiller... me ribs barely hurt at all even when i cough)
neighbourlady gave me a bunch of pills in exchange for a shopping run.... i like her
also a bunch of people at work have been pulling all the overtime they could get (some working over 80 hours a week) so management cracked down.. no longer allowed to work more than 10 hours a week extra, overtime breaks will no longer be paid and dinner will only be provided on tuesdays and thursdays
now managements wondering why no one signed up to work saturday this week
for a bunch of well educated pencil pushers they sure suck at thinking ahead
(tho.. in general i agree with the limit on overtime.. those guys pushing 80+ hours are burnouts waiting to happen)
